My mother-in-law was so kind to throw me a baby shower this weekend and it was beautiful. She is an amazing woman....and such a loving mom and grandma. I'm SO thankful for her. I definitely felt "showered" with love yesterday and honored that these fantastic women were there to celebrate our little man. I can't thank you girls enough.

32 Weeks!
Let me preface this blog by apologizing for this unflattering picture. My co-worker took it and it's the only one I have...so here it is. Wow, look at that belly button. Geez. ANYWAY, we had another ultrasound last Friday and received good news! The placenta has started to move away from the birth canal, which means there's a good chance I won't have to have a C-Section! Praise God!! We've been asking God for a natural birth and this is such an answer to prayer! Little Easton is doing great and his head is down. He's moving A LOT and I can tell he's growing because the kicks are becoming quite intense. He weighs approximately 4.6 lbs right now, which means he'll be anywhere from 7.5 to 8 lbs when he's born (at least that's what the ultrasound lady told us), and I've gained a total of 17 lbs. We have the nursery ready to go....so now we wait : ) Michael and Caden have been amazing these past 7 months. They are both so loving and supportive. Caden gives Mommy back massages and foot rubs and likes to hug his little brother. Our niece Bailey asked me the other day "Baby come out yet?" and then she put her hand on my belly and said "Whoa, he's big!". She's so cute....she LOVES babies.
He's almost here. I'm trying to be patient and enjoy the peace and quiet while we still have some : )

Easton's Nursery
Furniture assembly has begun! We just had our upstairs recarpeted yesterday, so Michael and I spent "date night" putting some of the furniture together. What a job! We finally crawled into bed around midnight. Here are some not so great pics taken from my phone.
Just a quick shout out to Dianne at Emmi's Cottage....THANK YOU so much for the adorable pillow and wonderful customer service. You are fantastic and do beautiful work!
And my favorite purchase thus far:

'Tis the Season
A couple mornings ago, I found Caden in his room digging through his "piggy bank" mumbling "Uhhh, I don't have any ones", so I said "What do you need ones for?" and with a cheeky grin he replied "I can't tell you". I gave him the three dollars and didn't ask any questions ; ) Now there's a present under the tree for Mom and Dad. Too cute.
I just love Christmas. It's such a joyful time of year, especially for kids. I have so many great memories...running around Christmas tree lots with my sisters in search of the perfect tree, coming home to decorate and singing my heart out to Mariah Carey's Christmas album, sitting in the living room after everyone's gone to bed and marveling at the lights and the smell of the pine tree....ahhhh. It's the perfect setting. Everything about it just makes you feel warm and cozy inside.
Now don't get me wrong, every Christmas season I walk a fine line between "Fa la la la la" and "Bah, Humbug". The traffic, and rain, and crowds of RUDE people really test my best intentions to be Christlike and merry. Not to mention the added stress of buying gifts for everyone. I constantly have to check myself and make sure I'm still celebrating the real meaning of Christmas and not all the hoopla.
And I can honestly say that I'm still amazed at God's incredible love for me. That he would send His son to earth to ransom me, to give me the ultimate gift of freedom and true life with Him filled with peace, HOPE and love.
Happy Birthday Jesus! We love you!
